Joined the Jubilatores in 1997

David has played continously with Musical Antigua de Toledo since 1981. A member of the Lute Society of America (L.S.A.) since 1984, he has studied renaissance lute with Lyle Nordstrom, other L.S.A. faculty, and medieval lute with Thomas Binkley at Indiana University.

A man of wide ranging interests, David holds a masters degree in theology, teaches theology for lay persons at Trinity Episcopal Church, Toledo, Ohio, and he is the current president of the Toledo Center for Jungian Studies.

David's prolific and insightful translations of period songs rise from his desire to comprehend the music that the Jubilatores perform.

Performes on:
Fyddle, voice, lute, long necked lutes (saz & tar), harp, psaltry, hammered dulcimer, & other assorted instruments.
